Marin Access Paratransit

Marin Access Paratransit is a service provided to supplement regular fixed route transportation for those who are unable to ride regular public transportation due to a disability. Volunteer Driver Programs

Two volunteer driver programs are currently funded by Marin Transit to operate in the county of Marin. One serving the Western portion of Marin and the other supporting the entire Eastern portion of Marin. For more information on these exciting programs please click here.

Marin Catch-A-Ride

Marin Catch-A-Ride allows Marin residents who are age 80 and older as well as residents 60 and older who no longer drive and residents eligible for paratransit service to receive a subsidy to ride on Taxis and other licensed vehicles within Marin. County.  Marin Catch-A-Ride will provide eligible riders with $14 toward each one-way ride you take ($18 for low income riders).  You will be allowed 8 one way rides per month.  To determine if you are eligible for this program please call (415) 473-2943.  For a brochure or an application please click here.

Novato Dial A Ride

Novato Dial A Ride is designed to fill gaps in Novato’s local transit service and provide additional service. You can use the dial-a-ride service to make a complete trip within Novato or connect to fixed route transit service for travel outside of Novato.

Golden Gate Ferry

The Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District runs Ferries to San Francisco leaving daily out of their terminals in in Larkspur and Sausalito.  Click here for more information.  They also operate a special ferry to San Francisco Giants games throughout the season.  For information on that program click here.

Tiburon Ferry

The Blue and Gold Fleet operates ferry service from the towns of Tiburon and Sausalito  to San Francisco. Click here for more information.

Angel Island Ferry

The Angel Island ferry transports passengers back and forth to beautiful Angel Island from their terminal in Tiburon.  Click here for more information.

Marin Moves

Marin Moves is a network of social service, human carer organizations and faith congregations in Marin County that provide volunteer drivers to frail, isolated adults.  Form more information on this program please call (415) 473-2836

Hamilton Shuttle

The Hamilton Shuttle is a free program paid for by the Hamilton Homeowners Association designed to transport residents and employees of Hamilton Field in Novato.  For information on scheduled times and stops please contact 415-454-0964.

Novato Health Express

Sponsored by Sutter Hospital, Novato Health Express is a free service for older adults and the disabled in Novato that brings individuals to Sutter-Affiliated doctors in the Novato and Terra Linda areas.  This shuttle provides door to door service and operates on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm.  For more information or to book a ride please call (415) 457-1392.

American Cancer Society Volunteers

The American Cancer Society provides rides to cancer treatment for ambulatory riders who have exhausted all other options for transportation. For more information please call (800) 227-2345 or click here.

Hawkeyes Program

Hawkeyes screens and trains volunteers who provide transportation for adults to and/or from their same-day surgery procedures, within the county of Marin. The Volunteers make sure the client has their discharge orders and that the client knows who to call if any problems arise. The volunteers use their own vehicles and are only able to transport ambulatory clients (walker/cane O.K.).
